    VXR Pro starter replacement

Anybody have any advice on specifics on how to remove a starter from the bottom of the motor on a 1993 Yamaha VXR Pro waverunner? Thanks

It's not that bad if you have long arms like me. Unhook the exhaust hose in front of the engine and get it out of the way. You can reach down around the engine and get to the bolts. Unhook the battery of course. 10mm nut on the starter cable. Two 10 or 12mm bolts at the rear of the starter. One of them is probably also holding the ground cable. After it's loose, if you can't pull it backwards, use a long extension on the front top of the starter and tap it backwards with a hammer. Sometimes they are stuck.

Myself, sent you a message. I've got some questions for you if you're familiar with this machine.

Fixed and running! It was originally the relay and then the starter. Replaced both and now back on the water!
