    VXR speed vs RXT-X 255

Hi everyone, just purchased a 2013 VXR after 15 years of Sea-Doo's. Every review I read of the VXR said that it would do about 67-68 mph. It only has 2.5 hours on it so far from riding this weekend. My questions is, do they get faster as they are broken in more ? I did not GPS it so not sure how fast it went but I did race my sister who now owns my 2008 RXT-X 255hp and she slowly passed me at wide open. Probably maybe 1-2 mph faster than me. I can't have my sister beat me so hopefully the VXR will get faster as it is broken in, but just wondered if anyone knew if this is the case or not.

    Thanks

Alot of us VXR/S owners here noticed around 20 hours the Ski did pick up 1 to 1.5 mph. You will probably too. The Ski is the same since it's introduction in 2011. I have certainly enjoyed mine. For you to stay ahead of your Sister, you must have smooth water conditions. Any kind of appreciable water chop and it will be difficult to stay with that RXT. JB

thats why lol....you got a ski with a blower and mad power against an N/A motor that probably makes not quite as much. I would imagine someone with a SC ski would defintely get another SC'd one when it came time to switching skis. I dont know what id do without forced induction....

Throw some nitrous on that bitch!!

At about 20 hours, do the ribbon delete mod and run her again. Both of you will be surprised http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/show...=1#post2091335

It will pick up some speed after it breaks in... Ribbon delete & intake mods will pick up 1-2 mph as well. On SMOOTH water I take the stock 255s everytime

Yeah, with a couple of mods on it, the VXS can outrun any stock supercharged ski in smooth(er) water. Here's a video of my daughter outrunning a Kawi 300x early into the mod process. It's a much quicker/faster ski now:
