2000 Yamaha gp800- $300... To buy or not?

Found a 2000 Yamaha gp800 that has a frozen engine from sitting apparently. He wants $300 bottom line. Also is in need of minor fibreglass repair on the bottom, He said he's tried marvel oil and it didn't work. No trailer included. What do you think?

I have a simple 3 strike rule. Any internal engine work is 2 strikes off the bat. Everything else is a strike. So engine work, body work, no trailer and your at 4 strikes. A definite no. Will probably cost more to fix than worth or really close to it. There are exceptions to the rule, but not much.

LOVE the 3 strike rule!! Its an hour away. I got my Polaris for $200 with no trailer (I already had one) knowing it had a blown bottom end and fixed it for under $300 with a new top end and thought I did good. And the Polaris was 20 min away. I'm still thinking but leaning towards a no. If it wasn't totally frozen and didn't need glass work I'd be more willing.

If you have parts on hand or means to fix an issue, it doesn't really apply, but again just a simple rule.
