NEED HELP PLEASE!!!!!! 1300 keeps dieing at idle!!

My gp1300r keeps dying when you let off the gas to just idle around. When I put the ski in I started it up and let I warm and it was perfect. idle away from the ramp for about 100 yards then went up and down in speed but not over half throttle since I am still in breakin period for my new top end. but then came back to the ramp and went to idle in the no wake zone and it died and I tried to restart and it did but I had to let the throttle go since I was running out of space at the ramp and it died then would not start anymore. made sounds like it was turning over but would not fire. I Have brand new AGM battery, fresh 87 gas with marine sta bil, new plugs but I will check again just in case. not a premix ski.

First things 1st! Get a compression regulator @ auto parts store , they are not to pricy. After checking compression in all 3 cyls .... they should read around 138 to 150 and be within 20 psi of each other. The how to is listed here on GH.. If not near those #'s then contact the experts @ WFO ....yamis are their speciality ! Good Luck

You can borrow one from Autozone for free. Just leave them a deposit and when you take it back they give your money back.

Advance Auto also has a loaner plan.
Rookie Here Asking! Will he get any reading at all with a stuck piston? Will the crank turn? Or does it only stick when hot?
Could he have stripped the starter bendix?Gasket wrong?Hydro lock? Been there, done it!
