    Kawasaki 750 ST carb swap

Hello, I'm looking at picking up a 94 Kaw 750 ST that someone started switching to twin carbs for about $600 with a double trailer and a little bombadier. I was wondering what throttle and choke cables one would recommend to use to finish the swap, and is the ski worth it. I would say it needs a little glass work or maybe just paint, as he only lifted the smaller one, so the paint in the foot wells on the ST looks to be peeling up from sitting in the water all year. And what are suggestions as towards the oil injection on these, as well as any modifications to be made from stock to make it a more reliable, more fun ski. Thank you.

Replace the oil lines because they get brittle with age and crack.

There is a crankcase drain on the left side, at the bottom. These can leak and cause it to run lean. Remove it and install a block-off plate. You'll probably have to pull the engine to do this. The drain is at the end of a cable that mounts to the exhaust pipe. It may have been removed already.

For $600 including trailer and SeaDoo, you did OK. These things aren't worth a lot.

Are the original cables missing? Buy replacements.

It was originally the ST with a single carb. And someone put SS dual carbs on it and left the stock cables. There are no brackets to hold the cable housings and they have the wrong bends to them. Will the SS cables work with that hull? Or do I need to get brackets to hold the cable housings?

I'd order the brackets and new cables to fit an STS 750. Not sure if your 'Ski has a thumb throttle or finger throttle. My SS Xi had a thumb throttle and I swapped it. I can't remember if I had to change the cable or not. It seems like I had to modify it a little to make it work.
