It probably goes in the line that feed cooling water to the stator cover and then on to the EMM.

    It's a cooling water strainer.

    Not quite there yet.

The cooling line 92191-3918 goes to the T-fitting at the bottome of Exh Manifold first.
Then from there one goes to the Stator, EMM and the other goes to the Exh.

BTW, stealerships sell for $486 for the complete kit (P/N 99995-3713)...Yikes!

    You're KIDDING!?!?!?!

You can buy a DECENT strainer for about $40. You need one with 1/2" fittings.

Yes, they work great! I've got strainers on my STX, Ultra 150, and Yamaha jet boat. Keeps trash from getting into the engine. The possible downside is that the strainer could leak. Carry a barbed splice connector so you can bypass it in an emergency. I've never had a leak. Also, carry a strap wrench so you can open it and carry a screwdriver to remove the hose clamps if you have to bypass it.

Buy a good one, like the Groco WSB 500. I mounted mine with cushion clamps, the included bracket isn't very good.

What is interesting is that the actual filter is less than $20. A bracket is about $158, and the tool is about $135. What is the tool anyway? I am guessing to remove and clean filter. If I decide to add a filter to my skis I would think about buying the actual Kawasaki version, and make my own bracket.

The drawing shows one like shown here: http://shop.pwcxtreme.com/3-8-WATER-...ER-56-9006.htm which is garbage. Those are the ones that crack and they don't have enough filter area to hold a significant amount of debris.

I filled the Groco completely full of sand and my triple pisser ports still flowed normally. It has enough surface area inside to handle it.
