Identify Broken tab on 65u 1200 block

I have a block that looks like it had an issue in shipping. I haven't had it open completely and it's been a couple months since I bought it. Hoping its nothing serious. Maybe somebody can tell me what this part is that's broken? Can I work around it?

Nothing goes in that open hole tab that's broken so you're ok. the hole next to it is important. it should have threads in it where the motor mount belly pan bolts to it.
