That will NOT fit a Genesis....The Genesis has a one off grate design.

The Genesis intake grate has a vee shape and mates to the vee shape of the Genesis ride plate, which is also unique to the Genesis.

That's what I had seen on the forum so figured the add is b.s.

Has anyone had one custom made? The grates are aluminum right? Shouldn't be to hard to have a stock one modded.

I have never seen a custom Genesis intake grate. The Genesis hull is large and heavy enough that people seem happy with the hook up even in roughish water.

I think the Genesis intake is cast aluminum.

Modify a stock Genesis cast aluminum intake grate, or modify a non-Genesis intake grate to fit the Genesis? I wouldn't think of either as 'easy'.

Grates blowing apart at high speeds can be dangerous. A few of the conversion guy have been tossed and injured.

i wouldn't think the genesis would have a problem with coming out of the water enough to be a problem, water THAT rough would be trouble to ride in

It gets a little rough in Choctawhatchee bay sometimes. I was just exploring options. I didn't know about the modded ones blowing apart and tossing riders.

It's running like a champ right now. I rode 46 miles in the last 2 days. I'm sore and exhausted, but i'm going back out tomorrow and Monday.
