    Filters are for LAWN MOWERS?

OK...that has been quoted by a member/moderator here and it makes me laugh.

Now for the serious part - I've been playing around with some fueling changes on my map (Vtech 9000 rpm).
I've seen AFR's change by two whole #'s depending on my set up(on trailer and off). It finally hit me that I've tuned with my filter(4" kanaflex & fizzle filter) both on and off.
So today I ran with filter on and idled @ 13. Took filter off and it jumps to 14.5-15. The filter has some slight corrosion but don't think it's choking it down that much.
I've been toying around with going with a rear air intake w/filter for easy riding and swapping back when I head to the shore to go jumping(kanaflex ran up front).
I know this has been debated before but, has anyone seen AFR's jump around that much just from a filter? I might just run a screen over the kanaflex and call it a day...

Yes you will see that much change as the filter is a big restriction.

So I'm really thinking about the screen/kanaflex up front and be done. I'm really surprised that it affects it that much...food for thought.

Just leave it open a screen is also restrictive.

I saw 0 deference in afr's and rpm's on my 08 RXPX, with a filter and without.
I will also add I did not run a fizzle filter, mine rusted. I ran a K&N.
