Loss of Steering 260X
Lost steering today. Handlebars and nozzle turn independently. Broken cable? I was lucky because it was pouring rain but no wind and no chop with 15 miles to go. Ski ran surprisingly straight but with left pull as speed increased. I had to repeatedly correct by slowing, letting KSS take over which nosed me right, then back on throttle.

There was a factory recall on the steering cable from Kawaski. Did you have yours checked ?

Probably broken cable.

I actually cannot recall whether cable was replaced before under a recall. But, if so, its been a few years.
My steering column is still frozen in up position and steering is a little stiff. Plan to ride tomorrow and then check for bushing wear. Still have my TBM steering sitting in garage so I have an option.
