If you do a lot of riding in the ocean up there, I highly recommend it. If you're worried about top speed on a glassy lake or river, I would not recommend it.

I mainly ride rough lakes (we have a lot of boat traffic in this area)

I'm willing I give up some speed for better rough water riding!

some? it will be alot......will be like you didn't even do a R3........will handle extremely well, I stuck with the stock plate and shimmed it and removed the stock mounts.....made it faster, but still handle well......I liked the VX plate.....but didn't like it in the chop, got kicked off into ocean when I tried to run hard..... I'd do a R&D tho or a Farthing plate...... If i choose to do a ride plate.

Yup like I said give up some speed. I know I will lose some and I'm ok with that hence the reason I want to try one out to see if the speed lose is worth the handling.

I tried it it was a 3mph loss.......turned really well and nose did not bounce in chop.....def a good ocean plate and bay... good luck with it.....time to add some boost to off set that loss

Ya I would be ok with 3mph. On my gpr I would swap out plates depending on where I was riding. I took a cut plate onto lake Washington once and never made that mistake again.

    And more boost is inevitable

You may actually get better speed in that kind of chop with the Worx because it helps you stay hooked up better, which equals better speed. If you were local, I'd loan you mine to try out. As far as what's readily available for ride plates, rough water hook up and handling goes in this order: 1) Worx, 2) stock, 3) R&D. I'm not including the Farthing plate because its not readily available yet, and haven't seen any results on how it is in rough chop. Jim is working on a new one that looks promising.

I'm interested to see Jim's plates results as well. I liked his plate on my gpr when I was on the smaller rivers but not when on the bigger lakes.

Honestly I wish someone would make a good adjustable trim tab setup so I could run a cut plate than use the trim tabs for rough water.
