Thread: Hi guys

    Hi guys

I'm new here but looking to buy a ski and maybe a second one shortly after for the wife.

I don't have a huge budget but I've ridden a 1997 sea doo Xp and really liked it. I like the older ones that aren't huge like boats.

Anyone have any recommendations for a newb? I'm not seeing much for sale here in San Diego.

if you are somewhat mechanically inclined, get a ski with a 951 engine in it, on carbs, they run forever and easy to fix. 951 models include 98 99 gtx limited, xp limited and rx. i might have missed some. DO NOT GET A DIRECT INJECTION 2 STROKE. they are a pain in the a@@

Thanks guys. The 1998 and 1999 models might be out of my price range right now.

Any thoughts on a 1996 SPX? Found one for $750 with a "motor that stopped working" and a double trailer.

    Buy it.
If the trailer is 1/2 way decent its worth $500+
    That's a great price for a ski + trailer
