2012 Kawasaki Ultra 300X 10999$ but from Japan?!
Aren't the Kawasaki Ultra 300X sold in the USA assembled in NE?
I was going to put an order for a 2012 unit for 10999$, brand new... So I was thinking it was a left over unit.
I asked the saleman to do a quotation and e-mail it to me.
I received it and saw an Extra of 887$ as Freight.
I told the saleman that my freight forwarder will be picking it up.
He replied to me "The freight is for shipping the ski from Japan to here."
Behind my screen, I was like "What da f*ck"
First when someone tell me ski in crate cost 10999$, I expect to be 10999$.
Now he is telling me ski is in Japan?
Ain't that weird?
That dealer is pretty big in USA, but I wonder if the saleman is trying to make profit on me he thinks I have no clue about Kawasaki?
What do you guys think?

887$ to move a ski state to state is pretty expensive.
Cost me 310$ for my previous 300X form GA to LA....

hey I am not saying the amount mentioned is correct , just that their is a freight charge they have to pay

But he shouldn't say ski cost 10999$ and later on throw like that the freight.
Unless this is how it works in the USA....
No name or business name since i am waiting for him to reply my last email and see what he has to say about it.

Whenever they have a super ski advertised like that read the bottom of the ad. I see it on ebay all the time. They will add freight, assembly, and servicing to that and it ends up the same price as everywhere else. My local dealership that initially I was thinking was the most expensive ended up being the cheapest. Those 10,999 places would not come off the other charges and would not come off the price they were trying to get for the extended warranty that was much more that my local dealer. Didn't get it but the games they play are rediculious. Some dealerships even only give you the cheap price only if you finance it with the and they will boost the interest rate a point or so and make extra profit that way.

I do understand what you are saying.
But what I found outrageous is he told me 10999$ and never mention that there will be any extra.
I asked for a price out of the country, so I expect he if we can so call OTD.
When I bought RXTX 260RS, and 2 Kawasaki 300X, same shop always gave me a price and never added extra.
This time different salesman.
But I do understand what you are saying
