    Timing Chain

I was wondering at how many hours you should change your timing chain. I have a 07 rxp and rxt with about 230 hrs on them. I been running the S3 setup since about 40 hrs. the ski's run perfect and haven't had a minutes trouble with them that I didn't cause. Mostly run the rivers, but some ocean riding. Compression is spot on and has never had any water ingestion. At how many hours would you just change the chain as preventive maintenance? Thanks for any advice in advance.

That should Not even be a worry for you sit Back.. When your ready to replace the chain your Pulling the Motor and rebuilding it.. No preventitive Maintenance More like catastrophic replacement

Ditto, replacing the chain only happens when you are ready to reBUILD the entire engine. Ask me how I know.

I've seen over 1000 hours on a 1500 cc doo motor and its still Rippin along.
It's never been rebuilt and always in salt water.

The chains usually don't break unless something else let go inside the motor causing it to POP...

There were certain years that were recalled for defective chains.
If yours wasn't recalled then your good to rip on..
