my friend has a 2006 gp1300r that sank, he got the water out the engine and ran it up fine, he then decided to strip it to rebuild it but has lost interest and has decided to sell it. I own a gp1200r already but can't decide if I should buy it and rebuild it or spend the money and rebuild mine. I have riva ride plate, cat d plate, stuffer kit, free flow exhaust, it had the bottom end ground and balanced, new oil seals, renewed pistons a few years ago.

I would just keep what you have. I had a gp1200 and currently have a gp1300. Very similar.
