Still helping my brother with hi xl 1200 limited complete rebuild and idling around 3000 with cable removed and idle screw loosend.My question is should the buterflys be closed completely on these bn46I body carbs or should they each be slightly cracked when in the closed position with the idle screw loose.My 1200 nvp stays completely closed with the idle screw loosend.Any body got any ideas or want to take a jab at what it may be. We also did a leakdown test which was good. Every other engine Ive ever worked on when the I dle screw was completely was loosened the engine would die. As always thanks
