Start button and dess post
I'm have trouble with these things. I'm having to hold the start button a little longer than normal for it to start. What could this be?
When I hook the lanyard up to the post I don't always get the beep sound that notifies you. I have to wiggle it sometimes. I'm guessing I'm not always getting it flush on there, but just wondering if its something.
Thanks in advance. Chris

Could be the dess post starting to dump on you.
They have multiple symptoms that they can do when they go bad.
Also could be your key is worn out
Hard to tell when I can't see it.

sticky relay is also a possibility. How many hours, salt or fresh and what's the engine compartment look like.

What and where is this relay? No salt unless midnight has salt. Engine compartment is pretty clean. I mean I'm not anal about cleaning it after every ride.

check battery...also....a new start button cover wouldn't hurt...$7 or so. Mine was gettin a bit stiff...wasn't allowing a solid push on the button inside.
