vts housing went bad on rxpx , cheaper solution than buying another housing?

so my boot was crack and let water in, even after filling the boot with marine grease, somehow it got into the housing and it no longer functions, luckily the motor still works though.

searched to see if there was any other diy fixes but seems like thats not the case.

other than getting another housing, anyone know of another way to get my trim working?
