Gtx speed issue
I have a 2003 gtx 155hp vans wake edition and can only get it up to 148 mph? My rpms at full throttle are 7300 rpm Should go at least 55 mph? After pulling it out of the water I found a small 1 inch by 1 inch rock stuck in the Venturi. Also a small scallop shell stuck in the Venturi. Could this of affected the speed? Also I've noticed white smoke when on idle, I never really noticed it before but now I'm looking into everything because of the speed issue. So is that normal? Compression is good on the engine. Any help would be much appreciated as I am new to sea doos.

ANY blockage of the jet pump/ intake grate is going to effect top speed.
I'd pull the pump and inspect, that rock you found went thru the pump and perhaps dinged the prop or tore a groove in the wear ring
Oh yeah..dump your friends fat sister..yanno..the roller derby 2nd guard...she'll certainly limit your top speed.
how much white smoke are you getting?..coolant bottle look ok?

white smoke is an indication that you may be burning coolant.... possibly a blown head gasket.

Violent hasn't been going any lower and my compression would be bad if I had a bad head gasket no?

true... but white smoke can only be one thing... unless you have a leak in the intercooler?
