    Questions about a 2007 250 LX

Found one for sale. Has a little over a 100 hrs. Seller is asking 5500. Claims 100 hr service was done.

what questions should I be asking? What are the issues with this model?

Fresh water use only. Machine is in Wi.

    Does that price seem correct?

That's a bit higher than most run. Ask if the pump has been updated. Also check if the head was updated. Pull the SC pulley cover and check for rust. It's two 10 mm bolts and easy to remove. Basically go over it with a fine tooth comb. Some of these skis never had the problems most had and some were lemons. But that's just how it goes

Actually, the price seemed low. I see 2007 and 2008 STX and Ultra LX models are going for that much with a few less hours. A local dealer has an 2007 STX with 50 hours on it for 6800 with no trailer and won't budge a dime.

BTW, the 250 does come with a trailer.

Great! That's what I was looking for.

I really want an Ultra LX but came across this one. Had some concerns with reliability on the 250s

Yes LX was only na ,
But he said 250 so I assumed he ment the supercharged model,
Thats why I said Over priced.
But now you brought it up , he probably means the na version which makes the HRS and price ok

In general, how much more reliable is an NA version of these machines over a SC model?

That price seems very good especially with the trailer. I don't know what the others are talking about here. Fire just said yesterday $4-5 would be trade in value so a dealer is going to price between $6-7,000 I'd guess.

I doubt it had the pump bearings updated as most places don't know anything about this. There is no head update that I'm familiar with.

And yes a NA will be more reliable as there are less components naturally but not as fun.
