Seadoo intake mani Flame Arestor .

Did a back to back test of the FA removal ... Seen people post that they didn't see any gain ..

Well my boost gauge showed a full min 1 psi gain after removal if slightly more ... Also rpm increased from 8500 to 8580 ...

so if ur chasing just that little bit more ... Then this works well ..

Between the 4 inch rear air with solid pipes , FA removal and short solid pipes on ur IC. ... There is a min 2 psi gain ... Ur not making more boost out of nothing , ur harnessing ur full power of ur Super charger ...

They may state i.e 15 psi at 8500 rpm , but I bet u don't until the rest is done ...

Good job. I never just pulled mine out, always did other mods at the same time so never did really know how much of a difference it made.

Hope this helps anyone who is debating about doing it ...

Yep hole saw ... The RIVA kit is the easiest and best ...

U can use a hole saw fom Bunnings and use a old IC blank of kit then u need to buy an OEM clamp ..

At least u have a solid tap for boost etc ...

I have seen guys pull them out thought the throttle body side .. Pain in the ass ...

Also big note , if u do ur own kit not the RIVA ... U will need to trim 6mm of the end after the hole is cut , the OEM clamp is too narrow ... The 08+ intake mani is slightly diff with the FA ...

Use a 79mm hole saw at the opposite end of the TB ... Pull FA out the fit end cap that u buy from this site ...

To be honest , it will be cheaper to buy the RIVA kit ... Buy time u get to hole saw , end cap and clamp it would cost almost the same ...

Look it under intake section ...

Like others have already said in this thread, Yes, it can "JUST" be removed by using long pliers, breaking it up, and pulling it on the throttle body side. However, it is a huge pain. RIVA kit does cost you, but is completely worth it in the end.
