u want to install the OEM factory intercooler? or a better aftermarket intercooler?

to install an aftermarket one, check Jerry's online store @ www.4tecperformance.com and look at the intercoolers offered there, they are the best you can buy.

if you want an OEM factory one, you will need to replace your entire intake manifold.

fastkaz... are you the one that had been PMing me about putting a RXP/RXT ECU in your GTX SC? or was that someone else? i can't remember if it was you or not I talked to over PM very recently...

just curious what kind of mods you have and what ECU you have....

    fastkaz,

I've also got a '04 GTX SC that I'm adding a Stage 1 (plus) setup to as we speak. Far as I know, if you are going to intercool the 185hp version of this motor, you'll need some form of aftermarket/modified ECU, and all that goes with it.

With the stock 185 HP engine and only 5 lbs of boost it is not required to have an intercooler. Has anyone installed one and have any numbers that shows that there is any gains for doing this effort?
You cannot boost these engines to much being they have cast pistons. Others with higher boost levels have forged pistons.
