First oil change on new Seadoo PWC's or boats

I have a new 2012 150 speedster 260hp and the manual says the first oil change should be done at 25 hours. It used to be 10 hours. Are we ok waiting until 25 hours ?
What is everyone with the new machines doing ? Are you waiting for 25 hours or still changing at 10 ?
Are you doing it yourself or taking to dealer to have done ?

    Thanks

I did mine right around 15 hours at the dealer. They can reset the service needed light then too. 10 hours seems to be the safest bet tho.

Seadoo mechanic I talked to says stick with 10 hours on the first one.

I guess for the peace of mind its very little money to part with.

    I did mine at 25.
No issues and I now have over 150 hours.
Your maintence light will come on at 25 so your going to need to plug it into a seadoo computer or Candoo to reset it.

You can do it yourself just check the filter and see if you see metal particles.
If you see a lot then change it again in 25-30 hrs.
Most motors will have metal shavings in the filter on the 1st oil change.

I always change the oil 10'every hours, especially salt water riders, you don't spend 16 grand on a ski to cheap out on oil. Cheap oil every ride they do burn oil, add when needed.
