Hawk eye depth finder help needed

Curious where users are mounting the transducer. I tried a spot thru the hull but lost the reading at 10 feet. I am thinking about the transom mounting but I don't like it as well.

glue it right behind the the suction grate that the bailer tubes are connected to, make sure you make a really big place with some epoxy because if there i sair bubbles in it your reading will be screwed up, as long as there is an air tight seal to the hull it will work ok, now your only problem is gonna be the screen getting foggy when you get it wet, good luck

I don't like the sound of "foggy screen" . Apparently it's not to waterproof...it looks a little cheap too. Oh well I'll give it a try. I would have tried something else but the mounting options are so limited.

does the OEM Seadoo depth finder only work on the 3-seaters? or it works on the RXP as well? why don't you guys use that instead? or is there a gaping price difference?

I was having trouble finding info on the Sea Doo unit and it's compatability with the RXP. If anyone has info let me know.

i can find out for you this weekend if you are interested... i think Richard (way2fast) can get you seadoo parts right? if no one else has an in with ordering seadoo parts I can probably hook you up if you are interested. I'll look into compatibility issues unless someone else knows the answer before i find out.
