2000 RX DI Flashing 12v Low

I have a 2000 RX DI that is flashing 12v low when its put in the water. I can run it on the hose just fine and it will never flash the 12v low but put it in the water and it will flash. The ski runs great and will turn 6900 rpms with this light flashing. I also put a volt meter across the battery while it was running and i'm getting 13.8-14 volts. Does this mean my rectifier is fine? I have also tried 2 different batteries all from other skis that have no problems. Any ideas? Should I swap rectifiers with my other 00 RX DI for giggles to see what happens?

yes swap them, and I replied on your other thread..no need to cross post your problems.

as mentioned, 12v low should put the ski in limp mode..something odd going on if it still turns max revs

I'm pretty sure its the "maint" light that will put it in limp mode not "12v low". I swapped rectifiers with my other 2000 RX DI and that seems to have taken care of the problem. Thanks though!

12v low indicator will not put you in limp mode

very low battery voltage will have the 12v low and maint lamp flashing.

once the maint lamp starts flashing, you hit limp mode.

typically I wouldn't expect too much time between 12v and 12v _really low_ if the system isn't charging.

Injected two strokes have wimpy charging systems with over 80% of output going to just run the engine.
