    can hours be changed on 2005 fxho

    I am purchasing a 2005 fxho it has only 32 hours on it , i am scepticale of the hours is there anything i should look for to make sure hours are corect

    go to dealer and have them connect the computer to it. It will show the ECU hours. The hours on display is of engine hours. Now if someone changed the display module, hours starts from 0.

    If someone changes the ECU/ECM the hours on ECM starts from 0. If ECU/ECM hours matches the display hours then it is NOT fake.

    To be honest with you if it looks like a 32 hour ski, it is so. Most people don't ride much.

    My guess is the hours are correct. A lot of people just don't use the machines much if they don't live on a lake. Some people might motor out somewhere and hang out. Some people lose interest. I would guess the hours are correct, but as Captain said, have a dealer check if in question.
