2001 Yamaha XLT ride plate question w/ pic

Pic is from the right rear facing forward. Question is, should these plates be flush like the 2000 GPR?

That looks exactly right. I have several. One thing that works well on XLT's is a riva or R&D rideplate. You pick up a bit of speed and a big improvement in handling, especially with 2 or 3 people.

thank you LT1GMC for the confirmation. Great suggestion on the after market ride plate. The plan is to make sure the engine rebuilds hold up before I dump more $$$$ in to these two ski's.
