    Regular 2-stroke or synthetic

Can you tell me your preferred 2-stroke oil? Brand, synthetic or regular?

One piece of info is that I still have the oil injector and tank and do not plan on removing it.

    thanks
    jamie

Once I get past the rebuild break in period I plan on using Amsoil Interceptor @ 40:1 premix.

Standard 2-stroke outboard oil is often not recommended for the power valve engines because of the buildup that will cause the valves to stick. If you want to stick with the injector especially, I would stick with Yamalube or a well regarded product like the Amsoil Interceptor. Also, note that not all oils will mix well, so if you're not sure what you've got I'd run the existing oil pretty low before you refill.

I am running Yamalube right now. I have just heard things about it not being the best

I use Klotz Super Techniplate. It is synthetic blended with 20% castor oil. It must be pre-mixed. You can read about it here:

Yes..I used Mobil 1 Mx2T exclusively on my triple pipe for years and it was amazing, but they discontinued it. After that I used Pennzoil synth and AMSOIL and they both worked great also. Synthetic is good stuff for any engine IMO.
