How to check 4 tec oil level?

Probably stupid question, but: You're supposed to be able to check oil level WITHOUT REVVING TO 4000 RPM AND KILLING IT, RIGHT?

Just do the rev to 4000 & Kill to maximize oil in crankcase to enable oil removal during oil change, right?

Wow....not how I do it. I sit the ski level on the trailer. idle it off the hose for 30 secs or so. shut off for 30secs or so and check.

If it's in the water....warm the ski...let sit for 30sec with motor off then check.

After you've ridden it for over 10 min to warm the oil let it idle for 30 seconds to 1 min then shut it off and check.
You don't rev it at all to properly check your oil.
Your thinking of how to change the oil with a 4 k rev.
