    Dressed up my hood recall kit

    The hood recall kits are no longer available with the decal to cover up the metal plate on the hood, as shown here.

    If you have a local powder coat place, or better yet, work someplace that powder coats, getting something done that small in a common color like black is pretty easy and costs a lot less than you might think, they will typically just hang it with a larger piece the same color and send it through. I had a buddy that worked at a wheel chair factory, he got lots of stuff chromed, just sent it through with a frame.

    On the other hand, the industrial enamels I used are probably just as durable as the paint on a car.
