    ems question

hello, i have some question about the ems:
    1) what is the best ems: igni power, motec, autronic or another?
    2) how much they cost?
    3) is the ems use the stock sensors or specifics?
    4) if it's specifics sensor, are they sell with the ems?
    5) is it difficult to tune the engine with it?
    6) i know i must have a afr but what else ( egt, etc...) for tune it
and what ems do you use?
    thank's, jeremy

if you ran a clean ROTAX RACING setup like the new RR B-Kit with the new ROTAX RACING injectors and SC, the Igni power EMS is the best. they have a base mapping for pump and race gas ( the new Igni is only for 3 injector setup ) the old one for 3 or 6 injectors

the Autronic use only stock sensors (verry easy to install), for the IGNI EMS you can get optional EGT sensors

you need to have allways Injector size that work with the ECU ( on the EMS or Autronic you can change injector size,

if you have a non tuner background you will not get the MOTEC to run ( even it is the best program ECU ) but it is not adapted for the RXP ,
some tuner like Rude Performance are working on a solution.

the AUTRONIC has show on stock class RXP + 35 HP ( race RXP )

the IGNI EMS is 3700 USD http://www.4-tecperformance.com/inde...roducts_id=285

the AUTRONIC in EUROPE 2900,- EUR, EMS ca. 3200 EUR

you should first start to get you stock ski to a moded befor going full programm ECU

    Well said and explained Malte....

Jeremy, If you do decide to go EMS, there are enough of us who have done the install so you'll be covered with that part. The same goes with the mapping. I am still working on my mapping, but like I said, this is a great site to be on if you do decide to go IGNI.

thank you for the explain mrracing
i have seen 2 colors for the dashboard of the igni ( grey and blue) is it the difference of the new( just 3 injectors) and the old( 3or 6 injectors)?
and the autronic is just the ecu , all the wire and dashbaord are stock?
red devil, do you have an afr and a egt for tune your ski?
what is the price for a used ems like igni approximately?
for the moment i have a riva intercooler ,vortech impeller and rear air intake
but i want to do some other modification after so i don't want to buy a rr or riva ecu.
    thank you, jeremy

Usually if people ask this question if you try to do it yourself, I think you wont be happy with the outcome of the engine. Just speaking from experience. If I were to put a EMS in my ski I would adapt a AEM into it, just because I am quite familiar with the interface and the setup procedures

the RR IGNI EMS has optional 3 EGT sensors and you can use a AFR wideband sensor as well.

on the AUTRONIC the stock display is not working at all on the 04/05 RXP

the IGNI EMS has 2 different displays a new one and a old one , the new one will show more function.

I you ask all that question, I dont think the IGNI EMS or AUTRONIC is something for you , because you need to know what you are doing on the mapping or your engine will not last .

you mod level is way to low to get more power out of the EMS system

if you are running the Ruds SC , you would not need a fuel controller , if you have the EMS , you will just change the base fuel mapping in your EMS system.

if you have a pro workshop or you buy the IGNI EMS and get help from the EMS Member club at the forum is should work

the IGNI pdf will give you a idea.
