    New heat sensor?

2012 stx15 less than 10hrs two months since last use. Started above water for less than 5 seconds then lowered and restarted. Within one min the heat icon came on. I keyed it off hoping it would reset while I verified the water intake was unabstucted then restarted. Within a minute heat icon returned. Theres strong stream out pisser and engine felt cold. Personally, I don't feel there's an heat issue...didnt run long enough.
Is there a reset procedure? Should I replace water and or oil temp sensor?

Check that the sensor cavities are filled with oil or dielectric grease. If not they read false high.
