Had an accident this weekend . . .

I was out riding skis with some folks this weekend, some of whom I did not really know their safety measures so I tried to keep closer to the pack that I normally ride with. We were heading out the river to meet up with a couple wakeboard boats and tie up to hang for a bit. I was decelerating when out of nowhere, one guy slams into me and clips the entire right side of my ski from the right rear corner, down the right side and off the front right from riding so damn close in my wake, I couldn't see him in my mirrors.

Tagged my knee, leg & hip, threw me off, broke the main front cowling, right mirror, reverse handle and glove box. Thankfully my wallet, keys, phone and pistol were still sitting in the glovebox in a ziplock bag. Simply amazing that it didn't hurt me worse or kill me.

Upon inspecting things when I got home, the total bill is going to be $900.00. Gladly he is cutting a check and apologized 100 times.

DO NOT RIDE IN PEOPLE'S WAKE!

Good advice and something I have taught my kids since they started riding back when they were 14. Many adult riders have not learned or ignore this lesson.

Damn dude, glad to hear you are ok. I almost went on that ride with you. I would have been nervous with people riding that close to me since my kid would have been on the back

I'm guessing it was the pistol in the glove box comment... aka ccw...
