Blowing lots of oil/gas out the catch can filter question

Ok my setup is a 2Rude, 50# injectors, Riva RRFPR, Riva ECU, Jerry's water box (still the best imo), and 4" Kana, I noticed first time out this year that its blowing quite allot of gas/oil out the can filter, and not running super smooth, as in surging. I can hardly get it pull 8200, it drops to high 7's and back up to 8200 or so. Its also running very, very fat, so I'm going to install the O2 sensor I put off doing last year, and see where I'm at, my question is though, is there something else wrong? I'm going to try a compression test today some time, but if my comps are good, I would not need to do a leak down would I?

I would always reccomend a leak down, Without a o2 sensor your pissing against the wind. Are those riva 50's? Compression test then leakdown first.

Yes their Rivas, why both if I have good compression?

Good compression is fine you got good pressure/compression but it does not tell you if you have loss of pressure/compression.The neat thing about a leakage test (as opposed to a compression test) is that it's faster and easier to figure out where the pressure is going.

I was just sort of in a similar situation check your oil is it milky? My intercooler was leaking and injecting water into the engine.

No its not milky at all, that was the first thing I checked. I had a Riva Gen 1 give away and completely destroyed a engine.

How many hours on the motor? Sounds like valve stem seals and too much fuel...If you get an AFR gauge on there, you might find you are too RICH...Dial back that base pressure...

Maybe 25 hours? I'd have to look. Its a Sea Doo long block that replaced the other one that hydro locked thanks to a Gen 1 IC letting loose

What is your base pressure? I have found 3sets of Riva 50's to lock up at around 65psi. SO if your running a 2Rude this may be an issue. They could of smoked the motor and caused damage and now power is down.
Do not run Rivas higher than 60lbs in my opinion. If you dont believe me then take yors in to a injecter specialist and let them test them.

+1 on the Riva injectors, I seem to remember 62-63 psi being the locking pressure.
