Intelligent Brake Reverse over ride CAUTION
I raised the bucket using the over ride procedure to check my pump for debris. All went well until this Newbie fired up the ski in the water. True, the bucket returns to neutral when the engine is started, but not immediately. The slight delay caused the ski to move forward about 20-30 feet! No harm done, but in the right situation it good be ugly.
The second time I used the over ride (Finally found the debris in the pump!) I started the engine out of the water for a maybe 5 or 10 seconds, and then put it in the water. That approach worked fine.

Yes I guess it can be a trap you could always override open clean then override close and you would be safe.
