    help!!!

    i was just inspecting my ski and found a plastic looking sleeve that i can slid up and down the drive shaft. what is this? is my ski down?

    you need to put some silicone on the end of that and twist it into the impeller. You may be able to do with with the intake grate on if you can get your hand up in there, other wise you'll need to remove the grate.

    You could also just take it to your dealer but it's an easy fix. come back here if you need help getting the grate off. there's some important info you'll need before removing the bolts.

    Ahh, that would be your impeller boot. the stock RXPs has a rubber impeller boot and they have been known to move. My boot started moving at about 25 hours. It is no problem but can be fixed. Clean the threads off the boot and the impeller good. Befor you screw it back in NOTE it is a reverse thread, put some right stuff or some type of TVR on the threads and that should keep it in place. O yea it is best to pull the pump to get to good.
