    Ribbon delete worth doing???

    12 vxr all stock. Is it really noticeable? It's cheap enough but .....

    Very noticeable - the must do mod, even if you otherwise want to remain stock.

    Done it on both NA & SHO motors....

    More air in is always good, but along the same thought process more air out is good too..........

    Definitely do it!

    I did it on my FXHOs and while it added a MPH to the top speed, the most noticable effect was to throttle response--- seems to pull harder.

    Someone did a calculation on one a couple of years ago and said the ribbon restricted 40% of the air flow!

    I thought it was like 40 cfm it restricted?

    lol @ 40% of airflow.the ribbon delete is worth about 100-150rpm or 1mph for most skis.for my ski which is supercharged the ribbon delete was worth .5mph and put me on the rev limiter.once i repitched the prop to get me off the limiter i gained another .5mph.it is probably the cheapest mph for the money just keep it mind you are going to need to repitch afterwards.
