2000 xl1200 fuel and oil in crankcase and exhaust
I am having a problem with my xl1200 pv. It will crank fine idles good on hose but almost no throttle response and there in gas and oil coming out of exhaust. Engine has been rebuilt and carbs have been cleaned . Replaced vent lines to fuel tank still doing same thing. I installed dplate and chip still same thing . Need help thanks

If you suspect the engine is flooding or rich pull the plugs and see if they are wet with fuel and do a baseline compression test. make sure it is firing on all cylinders. it is normal to see some goo coming out of the exhaust sometime. but since it is having trouble throttling up it sounds like you need to go back through the carbs. if it is flooding the needle seats may be leaking by the O ring or the needle itself. you should pull the top off the carb. and pressure test it before you even totally disassemble them.

ok I checked the carbs and that was the problem. Two of the needle seats were leaking bad orings were almost gone. useally you need pliers to pull needle seats but these just fell out. I replaced and now it runs perfect. Thanks for the help!
