Are you fighting cavitation with your ski? Check out the new "Ultimate Pump Seal"
This is one of those "why didn't I think about this first" products.
I know a lot of you guys fight cavitation issues on hole shot with your skis. The flimsy OEM pump seal is a huge contributing factor causing cavitation. If you are getting cavitation on hole shot you are also getting cavitation at WOT (high speed cavitation) and this is slowing you down
This seal is a must have for any Sea Doo ski. Congrats to R&D for coming up with a better alternative for us
These are in stock and ready to ship. Thanks for shopping in the forums online store!
R&D Ultimate Sea-Doo Pump Seal
- Model: 163-81500
The R&D Ultimate Sea-Doo Pump Seal was developed to end all frustrations and challenges trying to get Sea-Doo pumps properly sealed. The R&D Pump Seal creates a 100% positive seal without the use of silicone sealers. Thats right, no more silicone needed! The seal easily snaps onto the pump and assembles into the stock plastic mounting plate creating a solid seal between the mating surfaces. The new solid seal eliminates cavitation, and improves hole shots, hook up and acceleration.
At R&D we have been working tirelessly on the 2012-2013 RXP-X 260 trying to get an impeller and pump package that will pull hole shots in Pro Stock Class competition. Until now that has been a tall order, as no prop seems to be perfect and no setup has proven to leave the starting line without cavitation. The R&D Pump Seal allows super quick impeller changes and pump re-installs for immediate operation and testing.
The R&D Pump Seal allows impeller combinations that previously would not hook up and would not leave the starting line under hard acceleration without cavitation.
Installs super easy
fits the pump better than stock
Huge increase pump sealing without expensive sealers
Allows super fast Solas Impellers to finally be used without cavitation Increases acceleration through eliminated cavitation
Aggressive hole shot and mid range acceleration
Installs directly into stock location
Fits all 4-TECH models

Can't tell you how many times I cursed those stock pump seals...

I like the product idea for as simple as the install is, towards improving holsehot and the price...but I don't believe I've ever read anywhere before that anyone had trouble with the OEM unit. Has it truly been that much of an overlooked item and should it be expected to make a notable difference?

I guess what I'm saying is, it sounds too good to be true....although, I plan to order one

Just ordered one!
Normal power = zero cavitation.
Gobs of power = cavitation.
It's a double edged sword, so I'm sad yet happy to be fighting the cavitation gremlins... sorta...
