Thread: impeller recommendation

im looking at picking up a new impeller pretty soon.. only problem is im not sure which impeller to go with..
current mods are 4 inch intake with a velocity stack, and a riva top loader..
i plan on upgrading to 42 lb injectors with an et127 wheel but.. who knows when??
so my quesiton would be.. 14/19 or a 15/20 ? im thinking about going with a 14/19 but will it be too little for my set up plus an et127 with 42lb injectors? im not really into impeller pitching... ive never done it before and knowing my luck ill do something only one other person has done before like break an impeller blade off...
any help is greatly appreciated guys !!

15/20 will be the go, but you will likely need to remove some pitch.

+1. Either way, when you do go with the et 127, you will have to pitch. I have never done it before til the past couple of weeks and it really easy. If you are planning to do the 127 wheel, you will need the 15/20. Therefore, get it now and remove pitch.

either will do... 15/20 is the ultimate mid point, for almost any newish SD 4tec with mods....but either can be tweaked for both setups

15/20 just incase you end up with mad power later...better root angle then the 14/19 specially if your tryin to squeeze out every last mph you can.

Thanks for the Replys fellas.. Will my set up suffer now without the wheel and with only the 15-20??

Won't suffer. You will just be low on RPM's. You will have to remove pitch. The 14/19 will probably be the right on for you right now but you will have to purchase the 15/20 and still do some pitching if you add the et127. Just trying to save you a little money.
