    96 XP TONS of Aftermarket Questions

    Okay, my brother and a friend have a 1996 XP 800 in a box. It is completely disassembled. I think it is worth more parted out and he thinks more together, running. Here is what it has:

    Aftermarket Factory Pipe: in great condition
    Seadoo 800 motor. BRAND NEW, never Ran.
    Giant Mikuni Carbs and and a badass aluminum aftermarket intake manifold. I'll get pics, but I think they are 48s.
    Rebuilt pump with new wear ring and a brand new Solas Impeller
    Good hull. No cracks primed for paint.
    Perfect looking electrical box with aftermarket ignition
    R&D intake Grate

    All the rest of the ski is there and in good condition.

    What do you think these parts are worth that I listed?

    So here is the question, build or sell parts????

    TOUGH CALL...comes down to how much parts are individually....and how much is your time worth to build it...

    If it takes you a weekend to build it, then go for it...

    But if you can only allow a little bit of time where it takes you a few months to build it, then don't...

    We ARE going to part it out. I'll get pictures as soon as my brother isn't so busy at the shop and put em up here. How do I know the difference in the pipe? Its a big sucker! I really only have knowledge on standups.

    A. The Spec I systems use a smaller volume headpipe and the stock exhaust manifold and it does not
    include ECWI. The Spec II includes a high volume manifold and headpipe and the ECWI system. The
    Spec I is best suited for larger boats (three seaters) with little engine modifications. The Spec II is best
    suited for boats with more engine modifications or race setups but it can also be used on a stock engine as
    well

    Keep the ski stock... Ditch the FFP and the carbs for a reliable ski.

    the spec 2 pipe has the head pipe, stinger and water control module. The spec one is just the stinger or lower pipe.
