1998 Polaris SLXH 1050 Into a 1997 Polaris SLX 900?

The 1050 will fit, they're both 3 cylinder domestic motors. You would have to change props and maybe a few other small items.

run the pump, carbs, elec box, cooling hoses, etc from the slxh.the 97sl900 has a different water routing i believe.also swap out the water supply tube on the sl900 for the slxh one.goes from the pump nozzle to the hull, the sl900 one is aluminum and the slxh is plastic.don't run any of the sl900 pump components except for the wear ring and pump housing bolted to the hull

I don't think the 97 SL 900 had the same twisted wedge and shorter cooling pipe like the 96 did.
