    Honda Aquatrax dies at 63 mph no restart

    I was riding WOT and it died intantly with no restart, I've read about the main relays and magnetic relays, is there any guide to troubleshooting, wires to check for voltage, anyone with a wiring diagram. I have two identical skis to troubleshoot with. I have the relay behind the main box removed already. Starter runs with no issues

    Start with the small things and work your way up. First check for spark and check for voltage on the injectors and check the fuse for the fuel pump. How does it sound when you crank it? Does it turnover faster than your other ski or does it sounds normal? If you have a compression tester, test he compression.

    First thing, the fuel pump doesn't run when the killswitch is pulled, I just swapped the solenoid behind the main box from the bad ski to the good ski and it works fine, just took the main relay cover off,(sucked, dropped screws in the packing housing) nothing obvious. I figured it is the fuel pump or relay cause it doesn't run on startup.

    Good to hear it is just the fuel pump or relay. I always tend to think the worst if something happens at WOT. Have you checked the fuse? You can always run a wire directly to the fuel pump and see if it runs.

    I feel about as stupid as you can be, I checked all of the fuses this morning so I thought, I recheched the pump fuse and can you believe that it was blown, replaced the fuse and wham first attempt she runs. Now I need to find out why the fuse blew, the skis are both running not so good so do you think a plugged fuel filter will blow it?

    No Trouble at all mate, this is what these forums are for. Glad you got it sorted out. I did take out my fuel pump and sock and it was very dirty. You might as well clean it. Not sure if that can cause the fuse to blow but it would help that the pump doesn’t have to work harder than it should.

    Def its a good maint. check to pull pump and clean.....especially with the 10% ethonal in the fuel here in states
