    Just bought a VXR

Purchased a new VXR last week, after selling my 07 ultra. I plan on keeping this ski pretty much stock as I have little time to mod But my question is I want to do the ribbon mod, and is there anything involved besides removing it. Also is there anyway to remove the big clunky plastic what I assume is a silence box which sticks up rite under the seat.

They sell a resonator delete to get rid of the upper most piece of the exhaust hose which is what you're referring to. Jerry has it in his online store here. You can also go free flow and use the parts from frozen boost or similar to kept the cost around $50-60 and remove the bulky exhaust completely.

There is another thread that is very recent about the ribbon delete.

Great south bay! For the ribbon delete, after a deck screw is inserted into the ribbon how do you remove the ribbon itself? Seems like a super tight fit, and were the intake is located you really cant see into it unless you use a mirror.
Thank you for the link for the delete. Is it also worth it to purchase the K&N crankcase vent breather? Also I didn't touch my ultra when I had it, an all previous skis were two stroke, an with more air coming in the engine runs leaner which can mean boom. Am I going to hurt the engine by doing an of these mods? What is the best rideplate intake grate set up for rough water? Or should I leave stock? Not looking for a crazy gain, just want to stay hooked up an not cavitate.
