APROX: Value range for 2003 GTX and GTX SC????

Know I guy w/ the yellow 2003 GTX and GTX SC he wants to get rid of. Do not have hours yet as batteries are dead. Rather filthy but he has started cleaning them up and they actually clean up well. Supposedly they were winterized end of 2011 and not used at all in 2012. And not used much before 2011.

I'm going to help get them running and try them out for the weekend. Going to go through them thoroughly and check compression etc.

Curious as to what a low, med., high value might be.

make sure the SC has been rebuilt and the impeller/pump serviced.

3k low 4.5K mid 5.5k high??? All depends on hours, condition, and service.

    Good luck!

Unfortunately, there is no real answer to that question until you determine the condition. I would get them cleaned up, running good and then look at value. It will be more in line at that point.

He knows nothing about history. And nothing about Sea-Doos or anything mechanical for that matter. Apparently new wife retained from previous divorce. Claims they were winterized by dealer last season they were used, 2011? Did say they were kept on floating lifts in the river for several years. He mentioned he would like to get $4-5K. But does not know what they are worth. All he keeps saying is they ran good last time they were ran.

I pulled batteries for him. Neither were bolted down. One had terminals corroded so bad it destroyed terminal getting it disconnected. Trickle charged over several days but they were shot and would not hold charge.

I told him if he bought fresh gas and new batteries I would remove the old gas and get running for him. Noticed last weekend the old batteries still sitting outside. I wonder what a low ball offer would be a good gamble to take if I offered as is?
