    2012 RXT completely dead

A friends 2012 RXT died while riding, no electric power at all, towed back in, tested battery in another ski, started right up, fuses appear to be ok, any suggestions?

    It should be under warranty.
Bring it to the stealership and tell them to fix it.
If you go jacking with it trying to fix it while under warranty you might mess up more things.

not at all..a relay can fail for any number of reasons, a fuse only fails when there is an overload.

If the ski is actually under warranty, bring it in..you strat screwing around blind there you'll have trouble later on if you decide the let the warranty coverage handle it...if not, get the test light out and start tracing.

A sudden failure is always a problem if the usual stuff ( fuses etc) check out.

In a low voice mention to the ski that you may have to let some stranger stick his handns up under her skirt if she doesn't start cooperating in a hurray.

Works for me more than half the time..one time she pinched my finder in the glovebox....ouch!

if the "g" key on my keyboard was sticky..might have been yet an entirely other meaning.

my dyslexia is well documented here..thank dog it doesn't affect my ability to be a mechanic

(glances down at capt morgan tattoo with the prhase , left loose, righty tight..except Yamaha

In my defense sir, the question was

    "Wouldn't a fuse blow, before a relay"

My good man fuses don't blow..they melt..big difference eh?

and oh yeah...my stage 12 4-tec ( with the 4th cylinder auxiliary upgrade) was clocked at 135 mph last week..my dad, hugh hefner pays for everything..yeah..everything..

    that's the ticket

He brought it to the dealer, they suspect the computer, will have it back mid week and we will know for sure what it was.
The power had come back on, but only the display worked, wouldn't crank.
