Picking up a 2013 FZS... whats a good price?

Hey guys. So I lost my 03 fx140 (380+ hours) in hurricane sandy. Been shopping for a 2013 yamaha FZS, only shopped one dealership so far, but am looking to pickup this week. They offered me the 2013 FZS for $12,750, and I have yet to counter them. Whats a good price for one of these things? Thanks in advance for the help.

I bought one for $14,500 out the door.

This includes the FZS, Aluminum Trailer, 5 year warranty, taxes, dealer fee and the registration for both the ski and trailer.

The cheapest I had found was $14,125 for all that as well but it was 300 miles away from me and didnt feel like making the drive.

They want the 2013 out since 2014s are around the corner. So keep negotiating and calling around asking other dealers to beat the price.

Unless the ski is $9,999 + a $300 assembly fee

its just another way for a dealer to advertise low prices or try and sneak in some extra profit. I would tell them to talk in out the door numbers only.

Exactly, same BS doc fees, etc that all dealerships try to get away with to pad their profit. Just say no to BS fees and tell them you'll only negotiate on total price.

They actually do assemble some parts of the ski. I bought mine fresh off the crate and saw them build it. Nothing major.
