Thread: Ho pump

    Ho pump

I am thinking about buying an ho pump for my 00 gpr and was wondering if I could use my existing shaft and existing 13/19 prop? Also would there be any performance gains over the original pump?

The High Output pump angles the nose of the ski down when you hit the throttle and gives you a better holeshot. I might be throwing one on my 2001 GPR.

You can reuse the shaft, provided that the splines are in good shape, but should get a new set of bearings and seals. You will also need a new tail cone with a new impeller. Depending upon what engine mods you have, you may have to get it trued to a 14/20 or depitched to a 13/19.

Check with WFO. He may have these components laying around. He normally carries lots of used performance parts for GPR's.

HO pump ('05 & up GPR) uses the YG-DF Solas Dynafly series of impellers. The old pump uses the YF-CD Solas Concord. Definately a performance gain, it's much better for top speed. I believe you will need a new shaft since the 1200 GPR doesn't have the 2" extension in the pump like the 1300 and you need the extension with the HO pump to achieve best results

Can I just put in my old shaft and prop like above?

Driveshaft will work, but you need the Dynafly impeller

I have a good, used HO pump stator section in stock, as well as new bearings and seals.

I even have a new Dynafly here

just pull the cone and make sure no water got in there... as long as the grease is still good, id say run it as is

you could do the 2" extension mod, but you will need the extension and bolts, the later model intermediate shaft and cable extensions
