    Any tire experts?

I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 4x2 SLT long bed. I am looking for new tires but would like to go bigger. Anyone know how to do this. I want to use the same wheels. My current size is: 265/70/17 what do i need to do?

Mike you can put 31 inch tires on that easily without a lift (rubbing can occur depending on the width). Make sure you get 31 inch tires for a 17 in wheel. You can play with the width as well( your preference) and your speedo will be off slightly.

I have LTX AT Michelins and they have lasted forever.
The BFG's do look the best and have the best size selection.

A co-worker just showed me tirerack.com, great deals there.

I also found out I have the 245/70/17 on my truck right now. I can get the 265/70/17 and gain about 3/4" in height on my truck and it'll be a little wider too.

thanks for the info, now i just need $600 to pay for the tires.

Mike, try this site www.discounttiredirect.com and they have oversize and plus one-two tire sizes in the tire calculator, just input your truck info where required...I have used Yokohama Geolander G052 All terrain on our last SUV, but we just traded in and now have a Xterra and it came with BFGoodrich Long trail tires and I won`t be changing over to the geolanders for quite a while ... good luck happy tire shopping!...PR...
