    FZR Riva Stage 3 Build + problems

    Hi guys i have just fitted a full riva stage 3 kit including the Athens ecu on my 09 fzr ski

    I have spoken to Jerry and Bubba and they are both looking in to my problems but I was wondering if anyone has had the same issues as me or knows how to fix it?

    After fitting all of the riva parts and setting the Fp to the correct setting 65psi I finally ran the ski in the water and noticed that the warning light & check engine symbol continually flashed on the ski display.

    When i run the ski up connect the laptop with the riva software the warning light and check engine stops flashing. As soon as you disconnect the laptop and re start the engine the warning light starts flashing again!

    I have noticed sometimes when you shut the engine down it does a small backfire.

    The engine runs fine with out any problems although I haven't given it a proper sea trial as yet.

    The second problem is the ideal! It is running @ 1700 to 2000 rpm

    Does anyone know how to lower it down?

    put the FPR on rising rate (hook up the vacum line to the FPR)
    im sure your RPM ideal will be down
    cause i faced this before

    Do you mean increase fuel pressure? When the vacuum pipe is on the fpr the gauge reads just under 60psi

    connect the vacum line to the FPR
    if you connect it , it will lower the FPR its normal
    soo connect it first and then lower your FPR to 49 psi
    you should have an AFR gauge to monitor your AFR's

    example
    if you you have a 15 puond of boost , and you lower the FPR to 50 psi , then you hit the throttle at full boost
    your FPR must reach from 50 psi to 65psi

    I have got the gauge just waiting for the O2 adaptor plate. Soon as it comes I will give it a good so is the light coming on because its over fuelling?

    and about your first problem
    first check all your wiring if they are installed correctly
    seconed take of your athena and reinstall the map again

    i wish i could help you on this
    but i really dont know
    maybe you should connect your lap top and see the codes
    then you can find your problem
